Zeldin Neck & Neck with Hochul

Updated: Oct 10, 2022

A new poll from the highly reputable Trafalgar Group has Republican gubernatorial nominee Lee Zeldin trailing Kathy Hochul by just 2.9%, with 9.7% undecided, 3.2% going for Libertarian Larry Sharpe, and a 2.9% margin of error. In other words, Zeldin is within striking distance with around 13% of the vote still to be decided.

The same pollster has Attorney General candidate Michael Henry leading Letitia James by 1%, with 10.6% still undecided. While Michael Henry is ahead, a number of undecided voters this large means that the race is far from over. We will need to fight hard until November in order to make sure Michael Henry is the new Attorney General.

A new poll from Freedom Council USA has Marc Molinaro leading Democrat Josh Riley, 51,2% to 41.6% with about 7% of voters undecided. While that may seem like a large lead, polls have been wrong before, so we need to continue to fight hard in this race. If we lose this, we will be represented by the college town left wing communities which surround us, and our priorities will be spurned in Congress. These polls both point to one clear reality: The November election is going to be very close, and every single vote makes a huge difference. It can be easy to retreat into cynicism, given how bad the political situation in our state has become. That being said, these polls give us real reason to put that aside and go all in to win these races and turn this state around. The Zeldin campaign has given us hope that we haven’t had in a long time, it is now our responsibility to take that hope and carry it to victory.
