The Tioga County Republican Committee expresses its deepest sorrow and strongest condemnation following the tragic and horrifying assassination of Charlie Kirk, a bold voice for conservative values and the founder of Turning Point USA.

This cowardly and un-American act is not only an attack on a prominent political leader, but an assault on the very principles of free speech, political discourse, and democratic engagement that define our Republic. Violence has no place in our political process — no matter one's ideology or beliefs.

Charlie Kirk dedicated his life to advocating for constitutional principles, traditional American values, and empowering young conservatives across the nation. His message energized a new generation of political activists and challenged the status quo through peaceful, civic engagement. His murder is a tragedy that reverberates far beyond partisan lines.

We call on law enforcement and federal authorities to swiftly bring those responsible for this heinous act to justice. We also urge leaders from across the political spectrum to join in unequivocally condemning political violence, in all its forms.

At this time, our thoughts and prayers are with Charlie's family, friends, and all those in the conservative movement who looked up to him as a mentor and leader.

Let us honor his legacy not by responding with hatred, but by continuing to speak boldly, stand firmly, and act peacefully in pursuit of liberty and truth.
